Required core v2.3

Learning in progress stays on this version. No silent migrations.

Product preview of a sample learner pathway: required core lessons with specialist lessons added for the learner's role and sector, each with a stated reason.

The challenge

Compliance learning has been forced to choose.

Either everyone gets the same broad course, or learning is personalised in ways nobody can govern. Neither gives compliance leaders what they need.

One-size-fits-all

Everyone completes the same course, whatever their duties, sector or project. The specialist depth people need is missing.

Same content for every role
  • Specialist duties covered thinly, if at all
  • Learners switch off when content is not about their work
  • Completion is recorded. Relevance is not.

Uncontrolled personalisation

Learning is tailored by logic nobody can inspect. Required content can drop out, and no one can say why a learner saw what they saw.

RequiredPersonalisedRequired content missing
  • Required content at risk of being removed
  • Decisions that cannot be explained afterwards
  • Records that shift when content changes

Aptoris is built for the space between: a required core that personalisation can never reduce, with specialist learning added for clear, recorded reasons.

Protect the core. Add what matters.

Every learner gets the full required core. Aptoris then adds the specialist learning their work calls for, and keeps a clear record of why.

  1. Required core

The standard every learner completes in full. Personalisation never removes, shortens or substitutes it.

    • Role & duties
    • Sector & context
    • Organisation

    Specialist extensions

    Explainable pathway

One ordered pathway. Every addition carries a reason the learner and administrator can both see.

    Evidence of training

    Assessment & evidence

Assessment is pinned to the core version taken. Evidence confirms what was learned and passed.

Specialist learning is recorded as additional learning, separate from the required core.

How Aptoris works

Four steps from the facts about someone's work to a record you can stand behind.

  1. 1

    Understand the context

Aptoris records the facts that shape learning: role, duty-holder responsibilities, sector and work context. Facts your organisation controls are kept separate from what learners confirm about their own work.

    Example

    Principal DesignerRecorded by your organisation

Coordinates others' design workConfirmed by the learner

  2. 2

    Apply governed rules

Rules agreed in advance decide which specialist learning applies. The same facts always produce the same pathway. No AI decides what anyone is required to learn.

    Example

Include when duty holder is Principal Designer

  3. 3

    Build the pathway

Matched learning is added to the required core in a set order, with a stated reason for every addition. The core itself is never reduced.

    Example

Principal Designer in practiceAdded for you

  4. 4

    Preserve the record

The pathway, content versions and assessment are pinned when learning starts. Later changes to rules or content never rewrite what someone has already completed.

    Example

Evidence of trainingRequired core v2.3Assessment passed

Governance

Change the rules tomorrow without rewriting yesterday.

Governance is part of how Aptoris works, not a report bolted on afterwards. Every pathway can be explained, and every record stays true to what was actually completed.

  • Protected core

Personalisation is additive. No rule, fact or learner answer can remove, shorten or substitute required learning.

  • Explainable decisions

Every specialist addition keeps its reason, the facts behind it and the source it relates to.

  • Version-pinned learning

Learning in progress and completed learning stay on the version assigned. No silent migrations to newer content.

  • Historical evidence

Changes to facts are append-only and audited, so you can reconstruct what someone was assigned, and why.

When required content changes

Example: required core, CDM Regulations for Design Teams

  1. v2.2Superseded
  2. v2.3Approved
  3. v2.4Awaiting approval
  • Completed on v2.3Record and evidence unchanged
  • In progress on v2.3Stays on v2.3 until complete
  • New assignmentsStart on v2.4 once approved

Aptoris evidence confirms that assigned learning and assessment were completed. It is not a statement of professional competence, and using Aptoris does not by itself make an organisation compliant.

A real platform, built around the record.

Pathway generation, assessment and evidence records are already built. These previews use sample content, and some screens are still being finalised before launch.
